We have a message board in the house, right next to the entrance, on the wall. It hasn't been cleaned in about six or seven years, until today. The earliest date was 2009 on one of the papers. In fact, the board was full of outdated information about choir and orchestra rehearsals, concerts and camps, warnings not to miss to take my excercise books from high school, recipes, menus, and phone numbers. Most of it not even shown, the board was that crowded. Haven't put anything new there in at least three years. So this morning I look at it, and I decide it is high time for a clean. And I take down the papers, cards and post its, because I am not able to look at them any more. Immediately threw out almost everything. Papers with my mother's handwriting. My heart aching the entire time. How pathetic is that? On a scale from 1 to 10, I'd guess 15. It took me five years to the day to do the freaking cleaning, which took about 10 minutes only.
There was a pharmacy bill that she put there, well... I'm not sure why exactly. The pharmacy bill says the medicine cost the patient a ridiculously low price, and at the bottom it says how much money of the actual price of the drug is government support. Think there hundreds of thousands of florins. She told me about it with a smile, saying how funny it is that she only paid a few hundred while actually, the drug is immensly expensive. Yeah, funny. Ironic. While I only keep thinking why anyone would stick that to a message board to look at every day.
